In 2012, Guerlain an offshoot of LVHM introduced a new perfume ‘Shalimar Parfum Initial L'Eau.’ It was an edgy take on their longstanding and always on the top ten lists since its debut in 1925, Shalimar Perfume.
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, ,another member to their ‘initial’ collection has been issued and named as ‘Shalimar Parfum Initial L'Eau Si Sensuelle.’ The scent was created by the perfumer who has been Guerlain since 2008, Thierry Wasser.
Hitting the Guerlain counters in stores February 2013, this new Shalimar Parfum Initial L'Eau Si Sensuelle is available for a limited time only. Shalimar fans such as Diane Sawyer, Lisa Hartman and Meryl Streep already have their samples.
The new scent’s ingredients are reported to have been sourced with great attention. It is harvest-dependent of jasmines from Grasse in France, which holds Guerlain manufacturing plant.
The composition makes the scent is lighter than the original. In the Initial L'Eau Si Sensuelle fragrance notes, bergamot (also carefully sourced) and grapefruit combined with Neroli blossom is its opening. It is further enhanced jasmine goes even further with the sweetness of rose and iris. It is finished off by tonka bean and vanilla.
Guerlain Shalimar Parfum Initial L'Eau Si Sensuelle’s floral and citrus professes to be calming and this new version provides an innovative encounter for lovers of the long time favorite but is only available for a brief period.
