Set the Stage for Summer Soirees with the Chanel Pochette Handbag

“Write what you know “was attributed to F. Scott Fitzgerald. As one member of the "Lost Generation" of the 1920s in Paris and the part of the Long Island Gold Coast set, F Scott Fitzgerald certainly followed his own advice and wrote celebrated works.

A fourth adaptation of his well-known “The Great Gatsby” comes to the big screen this year, and this version will be done in 3D. The buzzword is that it will be a hit.

Directed by Baz Luhrmann and starring Leonardo DiCaprio as Jay Gatsby, Carey Mulligan as spoiled Daisy Buchanan, and Tobey Maguire as her cousin, Nick Carraway, the fashion scene has jumped on-board with the Roaring Twenties look.

This version of F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel "The Great Gatsby" follows would-be writer Nick Carraway played by Tobey Maguire as he leaves the Midwest and comes East in the spring of 1922. He lives in a guest house on the Long Island Gold Coast near the estate of his cousin, Daisy Buchanan. She is married to social conscience and blue-blooded Tom Buchanan (Joel Edgerton).

An old love of Daisy, who once was penniless and now is rich, resides in an estate near to Daisy. As Jay Gatsby, Leonardo DiCaprio personifies Fitzgerald’s 'Jazz Age,' filled with status conscious, loose morals, partying times and those who amass wealth through bootlegging during this decade.

The iconic House of Chanel was just coming into being during this time. Besides it’s sought after flaps, they have provided unique, fashion-forward and gives a flirty feel that forever remain trendy.

One such stunner for either day or evening use is an authentic Chanel Pochette Handbag. This exceptional pochette bag takes a diva back to an era of elegance for a casual lifestyle. Even the travel back makes it timelessly chic now. Add a level of sophistication and charm in dark blue canvas mixed with soft white lambskin leather.

The pre-owned Chanel canvas and leather bag has a large "CC" embroidered on the front. Its white leather trim is featured on the bottom corners and on its wide gold tone chain strap interwoven with navy blue leather.

It opens via a magnetic snap button to reveal a beige fabric lining. This used pochette may be petite as was the style in women’s handbags during the Jazz Age but still maintains good space for storage. There is even a zippered pocket with gold tone engraved Chanel pull.

Just in time for summer but versatile to use all year long, an authentic Chanel Pochette Handbag will set the stage for the ´newest´ looks introduced from the film, "The Great Gatsby."
