Speculation has hit the news this week, that the fabled city of Atlantis may have been discovered in a region that has taken everyone by surprise. According to a documentary, ‘Finding Atlantis’ broadcast by National Geographic may actually be located in southern Spain.

It is believed that the lost city was destroyed by a tsunami thousands of years ago and now lies buried beneath mud flats in the national park area of Doñana, Spain.

Lead by a team of international researchers at a projected site north of Cadiz, they studied satellite imageries showing an assumed submerged city for two years from 2009 and 2010. With the use of radar technology, digital mapping and satellite imagery detected beneath the national park marshland a circular structure which they think could be the remains of the ring-shaped city of Atlantis. Only time will tell if they are correct and a great discovery may have been made.

However, there is another Atlantis that is reachable with just a quick flight from Fort Lauderdale or Miami, and then a taxi ride from Nassau, Bahamas airport and voila in 30 minutes, Paradise (Island that is) is reached.

The best of the best is Atlantis Resort situated in beautiful surroundings. Lush gardens, floral and sleek modern designs of the several hotel building or ancient style ruins easily can motivate a longer visit.

It is a uniquely different destination filled with man-made lagoons and a variety of over 50,000 sea life habitat from tropical fish to sting rays to sharks.

Swim at the beach or at one of the numerous pools, filled with slides and even a lazy river ride. At night, popcorn is served poolside for a large screen movie.

Dining will satisfy even the fussiest palates in the many restaurants on-site.  Unfortunately to experience them all, a stay of a month would be in order. Some well known restaurants, such as Mesa Grill, owned by and overseen by TV personality 'Iron Chef Bobby Flay', Carmines from NYC and Johnny Rockets are on the premises.

At any beach front resort, such as Atlantis,  casual chic apparel and an authentic Gucci Pouch Handbag in pretty as pink sand is right on the menu. The pre-owned classic and uncomplicated pochette is crafted in the famous Gucci GG monogram jacquard fabric, and trimmed in textured leather, including the hand-held strap. All hardware, including the Gucci name plate situated below the top zip opening of this used purse is masterly detailed in silver tone. The full-length zippered top opens up to a spacious interior lined in brown fabrication.

The authentic Gucci pouch is totally trendy. Although considered diminutive, it is lightweight and ideal for carrying everything needed while dining, strolling and heading into the casino at the Atlantis of the Western Hemisphere.
